Asbury Park GoFundMe buys beach badges for residents who can't afford the beach

ASBURY PARK - For some local families, the day at the beach doesn't start until the lifeguards leave their towers for the day.

It's an unsafe situation — potentially deadly — that Asbury Park resident Lisa Cramp said she hopes to change with donations from the community.

Cramp launched a GoFundMe campaign to buy beach badges for low-income children and their parents so they can enjoy the beach that is less than a mile from their homes….
